Both apps are digitally signed — installation runs without detours. Here are the steps for Windows and macOS, plus answers to common questions.
Windows
Installation on Windows
- Download: On the download page, choose “Download for Windows” — you get a signed .exe file.
- Run the setup: Double-click the file. The installer guides you through the setup — one click is enough.
- Launch: BILLEVO opens automatically. Your 30-day trial begins — no account, no payment details.
macOS
Installation on macOS
- Download the right version: Apple menu → “About This Mac”. If it says “Apple M…”, choose Apple Silicon, otherwise Intel.
- Unzip the file: Double-click the downloaded file — macOS unzips the BILLEVO app automatically.
- Drag it into “Applications”: Move the BILLEVO app into the “Applications” folder and launch it from there. The app is signed — on first launch, macOS just asks once whether you want to open it.

When something snags.
Security warning?
Both apps are digitally signed — normally no warning appears. If one does: check that you really downloaded the file from billevo.de, and compare the SHA256 checksum as soon as it’s published on the download page.
Install an update?
BILLEVO updates straight from the app — with a progress indicator. Your data stays untouched in the process, but an extra backup never hurts.
Moving to a new computer?
In BILLEVO, create the full export (JSON), import it on the new computer, activate your license — done. All data, including receipt attachments, moves along with it.
